ISSUE 15
Welcome to CIH Unlocked, our member-exclusive publication delivering expert housing insight and analysis straight to your inbox.
The big news over the past fortnight came out of Glasgow, where CIH Scotland national director Callum Chomczuk declared a housing emergency at last week's Scotland's Housing Festival. The move has been welcomed across the sector, especially in light of the Scottish government's recent housing cuts.
You can read all about it, as well as everything else the festival had to offer, in our lead article.
It has also been a busy period for UK politics, with chancellor Jeremy Hunt unveiling the last Spring Budget before the upcoming election. It was a disappointing one, however, for the housing sector, as our policy team explain in their 'WYNTK' guide.
There's much more to explore in this issue, from clarifications on the Competence and Conduct Standard to how Incommunities survived a malicious cyber attack last summer and what they're doing to ensure they are fully prepared for any future incidents.
As always, we welcome your feedback on Unlocked, and you can find more information on how to share your thoughts with us at the bottom of the newsletter.
